Give the Gift of Dance

When the pandemic hit in 2020, Ballet For All Kids (BFAK) went to virtual classes immediately. We wanted to ensure right from the start of the pandemic that our ballet classes would be available to anyone, anywhere. We offered all of our classes for free — asking for donations only if families were able. We had the amazing privilege to teach children all around the world — our ballet lessons became lessons about different cultures, time zones, and biomes. Once in class, we were reading a book about snow and organically the students started discussing winter weather. We had students in the class from Canada, New York, Florida, France, Southern California, Saudi Arabia, Texas, and India. It was so wonderful for all these kids in different time zones and geographic areas to discuss snow — it made the world seem much smaller and that we were all in this together.

On this Giving Tuesday, we ask once again to please consider donating to BFAK. Even though we continued to offer classes for free, our studio rent, insurance, and other costs continue to accrue. We now have a backlog of rent to pay and need your support. Please help us to continue to offer children of all abilities the chance to gain the benefits for a classical dance education.

Any amount is deeply appreciated: balletforallkids.com/donate

Wishing you all joy and peace this holiday season!
