Student Spotlight: Charlie

Our wonderful Charlie is 4 years old and she was diagnosed with ASD when she was 3 years old. Charlie was very frustrated after she was diagnosed, but her parents wanted to find ways to help her come out of her shell. Charlie really liked to sing and dance and her teacher told her mom that she would be a great performer. Her occupational therapist mentioned Ballet For All Kids and they contacted Ms. Bonnie and signed up for classes!

Charlie has really enjoyed classes and although she struggled with learning some new skills, once she had practiced and memorized the dance she was a pro! Her mom made a book for her and every time she came to class, her mom would remind her of the rules. But, she was still struggling so Ms. Bonnie had an idea. Her idea was a reward system where at the end of class if she was well behaved she would get iPad time. This token system is something our founder has extensively studied and has found ways to incorporate into class.

Sign up for class today and see what the Schlachte Method can do for you!
